I find it so interesting how strong of friendships and communal bonds can be made from playing games with friends and strangers alike. I was wondering where everyone's origins came from in terms of gaming. For me, my first game was Altered Beast on the Sega Master system. My dad picked this up for me in the 80s when I was only 4. We kicked ass together and it was pretty graphic for a 4 year old to play. Punching and kicking zombies and beasts that exploded into pieces lol It was rereleased on the Sega Genesis (which I still own). It's still a lot of fun to play today too.
So what is everyone's story here?

Edited by EliteRider21: 8/27/2014 12:33:04 PMWhen i was about 3 years old, my parents got me a NES, i had Super Marios Bros 1/Duck Hunt (screw that dog!), Super Mario Bros 3, Contra, Godzilla and if i'm not mistaking, i had Ghosts N' Goblins too and the first game iplayed was Super Mario Bros 3, the best first experience i ever got and totally got me into gaming. i'm 19 years old now and man do i miss those... When i was 5 i guess, my parents gave my NES to the daughters of a friend of my father, i was really sad when they left with it, but it didn't work well back then so that was the reason why we gave it to them and they fixed it when i saw it for the last time. I want it back. T_T

My first real console aside from Handhelds and PC, was the PS2. My mom always heavily fought for me not to get a console.. till she bought it herself for my birthday. Together with Rayman: Hoodlum Havoc (which I asked for the PC, but got the PS2 version instead from her to confuse me). Handhelds included would be my yellow gameboy colour. Damn those things were sturdy... For game I think the first one was either Croc, Rollercoaster Tycoon or the RedCat series.
