I find it so interesting how strong of friendships and communal bonds can be made from playing games with friends and strangers alike. I was wondering where everyone's origins came from in terms of gaming. For me, my first game was Altered Beast on the Sega Master system. My dad picked this up for me in the 80s when I was only 4. We kicked ass together and it was pretty graphic for a 4 year old to play. Punching and kicking zombies and beasts that exploded into pieces lol It was rereleased on the Sega Genesis (which I still own). It's still a lot of fun to play today too.
So what is everyone's story here?

An original Nintendo and the legend of Zelda. I'm glad to be a life long gamer. I've watched this Industry come a long way.

Mine was the NES with the Super Mario Bros./Duckhunt bundle(thinking about it now, i think this was the first bundle ever to come to a console) and Battletoads. I found Battletoads again about a month ago, bought it, played it and realize that Dark Souls its not so hard after all lol.

Haha hmm this is actually tough I don't remember that far back. Shit I barely remember last week, probably the original Nintendo? Maybe sega genesis which was first?

I have been gaming since the 2000's but I got a Super Nintendo with some games at a garage sale. So it was technically my first console.

Edited by slackerboi: 8/27/2014 2:13:13 AMWhen I was 4 or 5 I first played my brothers copy of Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on the n64. It was kind of funny, because I'd be too scared of some of the monsters in the boss fight that sometimes I would turn it off when I saw them lol. It's still one of my all time favorite games today. Favorites from back then: any Zelda on 64, banjo kazooie, midnight club, super Mario world, kingdom hearts, soul caliber- there's a lot more but my list would go pretty long haha

First console I got was the NES with Super Mario Bros and Legend of Zelda. Played a lot of Duckhunt too. And not surprising that the 2 highest in the polls are the 90's and 2000's. (not a dig, but not surprising that most ppl on here are young)
