My guess is that where a big fat part of that "$500 million dollar budget" came from. Sony n Microsoft will often pay gamemakers for exclusive rights, content or even both. My guess is sony won the bidding war for a timed exclusive content so they can sell more consoles. There is no question that destiny has been by far the most anticipated game for next gen consoles.
