Two completely different franchises. The average Destiny player thinks CoD is trash and the average CoD player will call Destiny a "noob" game, so cross marketing them is only showing how out of touch Activision is with their own market.

One benefits the other. Why wouldn't it be in Activision's best interest to do what they're doing now? Also, you can't generalize the entire CoD player base and say that they collectively agree that Destiny is a "noob game." Same for Destiny's potential player base. It isn't fair to say that they can't intermix. It's marketing, it happens.
