Instead of all the topics of which type of game system is better and the complaints about the PS4 gamers getting the content first people should be more worried about how the filthy hackers are going to ruin our gaming experience of Destiny,to be honest it doesn't matter what consoles better, who's getting the content first etc...At the end of the day WE ARE ALL GAMERS,therefore we should be coming together, regardless of what system we are playing the game on and leading the fight against the cheaters and hackers of the world who wreak havoc to our hard earned gaming experience,we all pay between £40-£100(or whatever your currency)only to end up having our fun ruined by hackers and cheaters who just want the upper hand on good, honest gamers like ourselves,as you all must know by now there was a Ddos attack last weekend and a lot of gamers suffered because of it,Surely this is a more important thing to be concerned with considering PSN,Xbox Live and Battle.net were ALL attacked at the same time, its getting beyond a joke and inconvienience, these hackers are as bad as terrorists, the only difference being that nobody gets physically hurt(although the plane a Sony executive was on had a bomb threat made on it),I consider all this more important.

The DDoS attacks weren't "hacks", they were just overloading the servers. They did it to Battlenet and it was back up in no time. They did it to Twitch and pretty much failed. They did it to Live and it didn't work. They did it to Sony and only took PSN down for a few days. It's true, these assholes need to -blam!- off, but DDoS is not the same as hacking. It's also worth mentioning that if Bungie had implemented dedicated servers into Destiny's PvP, there would be very little concern in regards to hackers, but since Bungie are running P2P, hacking will be more prevalent - the lag, too.

  • You literally linked the DDoS attacks to common in-game hacking with zero clarification as to what you meant. You essentially said that the hackers need to be brought to justice, but then went on to inform people of the DDoS attack. There was no need to be condescending about it, but you weren't very clear as to what you meant, nor did you convey that you had a solid grasp on the difference between DDoS and blatant hacking, either.

  • I didn't say they were hacks,I said that it was down to hackers, they need to hack peoples pc's in order to send the info to clog up the networks, they use them as bots,I do wish you would read what I have posted correctly before commenting,I am more than well informed about this,so in essence it IS down to hackers, believe it or not you can get hackers to launch a prolonged cyber attack for as little as $150,in order to do it computers need to be hacked to send the info, please do your homework.

  • There is a huge difference between game modders and actual hackers. Anonymous are a collection of like mined tech whizes. That prey on big business, typically when those businesses do something to piss them off. I imagine alot of their group will be playing Destiny, so I'm not worried. They've had a long standing beef with Sony though. So hopefully they will let us enjoy the game.

  • The cheaters are really the only thing we can do anything about. We all have to report as many as we can. The hackers will always be out there trying to make names for them selves but cheating is someone that is taking away from everyone's experience.

  • True, but in most cases in order to cheat you have to hack the game,so in my mind they are one and the same, either way gamers, developers and the console makers need to stand together as one body united against this problem instead of fighting over the trivial things,I've been gaming since 1978 and have watch this problem grow, its very disconcerting to see that the more technology advances the harder its getting to fight against them.

  • It's not going to stop because some developer will give the hackers jobs to "help" keep other hackers out of their systems. It is a circle that it getting worse and no one really cares until it happens to a bank or the government.

  • Not even then it seems. Banks and government agencies are targeted all the time.
