Honestly I plan on pre-ordering and canceling it for this color palate. Ethical, no. Neither is attaching bonuses for games to other games.

In the old days of the ps2 some companies games had special unlocks if it read a game save from one of the company's other games. Neat little gimmick but not something to base purchase on.

Plenty of current games do this. Battleblock Theater lets you have a character from each of the developer's past games if you have saves from them, and Mass Effect 3 let you have a multiplayer character if you played battlefield 4 and a single player armor if you played the demo of Knights of Amalur. You don't even need to purchase the game on this one, just hand them 5 bucks, get your code, get your 5 bucks back.

Believe me I remember that nonsense. It literally costs you nothing to preorder and cancel the next day if you want to actually get that color palate for your destiny characters.
