No not at release. In the future, who knows. Kinda doubt it unless the people really push for it.

You can invites ur friends to your fire team while in orbit. This is essentially the same idea. Pair up with ur friends b fore u hit the planet :)

Yes u can invite two friends to ur fire team in orbit beforehand. But everyone else in the match is random.

Can u invite six people to ur team? Or just have it the people in your party? That's not private.

The game is encouraging MMO not play privately with mates only. Join a party for private chat other then that it's time to meet new peeps lol
