Will there be swords in the game? Like different varieties of swords to use? (Maybe as a knife or something?)

there is now leaked imagery of a titan using a sword, but the common rumor is that it is a story mission and only temporary. Or even a cutscene.

Common belief is No. The reason for this is there was no items to pick up and use temporarily during the alpha or the beta. And while that may be Bungie keeping it secret, most ppl think if it was a mechanic of the game we would have seen a mini gun or sword pickup item to test. And there was not.
