Hello, everyone! One night my friend and I had a crazy idea that is incredibly difficult but is well worth the experience. Let me know what you think.
Here's the basic idea of Destiny Hardcore: survive. It is much like Diablo's Hardcore mode, and will likely be more intense since dying happens much faster.
Destiny Hardcore Mode
* Hard Mode 100% of the time
* All PvE content must be 100% completed
* Dying means player data must be reset
When I say dying means resetting player data, I mean it. Delete character, start a new one. There will be very few exceptions with glitches being the only non-resets. IE: Out of map deaths due to glitches.
>>Someone suggested that Sunsingers should be able to revive a downed Guadian and not have it count as a death since one of their main perks is fast revival. I think I agree with this, but I'm not sure how easily it can be abused.
If any of you have read or seen Sword Art Online, this is kind of the type of feel we are going for with this Destiny play-through. Fear of death and the unknown with a seemingly impossible task. The end game to this is defeating the Vault of Glass. This is undoubtedly the hardest possible gaming experience we can imagine, but at the same time it will be fun.
>>I know that there will be extra content added to the game later down the line, the challenge will likely extend to that as well.
We created a group that can be used to share progress, ideas, difficulties, and to just find other players. You can also set it as your clan on Xbox/PlayStation if you desire. You don't have to be attempting the challenge to join, we would just like to see a community behind something challenging like this.
You don't necessarily have to reset your character if you die. You can continue on, but the challenge will be failed. Good luck, Guardians.
Here is the group page for those interested.
