...for registration for a surgery I'll have on Tuesday.
They asked me the normal stuff, if I had had any major disease lately, if I was on any medication etc.
Did a couple of blood tests, ECG, blood pressure, all standard procedure stuff.
The reason for the surgery is to remove a metal bar from my chest, that was inserted about three and a half years ago.
I had this condition called Pectus Excavatum, which is a cave-in in the chest caused by the sternum being behind the ribcage instead of on level with it.
So I went through the surgery known as the NUSS procedure, where the metal bar was inserted which caused it to pop out and flatten. It's like bracers for the rib cage.
It'll be nice to finally have it removed. It doesn't hurt, but I can feel it pretty much constantly.

I have an appointment next week. Routine eye checkup but god it's a chore. Since my glasses aren't free anymore I just go there for an eye test out of habit but I used to be there FOREVER when I was little. I remember once I was there for 5 hours getting drops put in and having about six people looking at my eyes through different machines and painting stuff on the back of them, and then having to go pick a pair of frames but not being able to see myself in the mirrors thanks to the drops.

I never actually had to be hospitalized. Suprising because I act like Justin Beiber after drinking 10 cups of coffee

I just realized I've never been hospitalized :/

Hospital visits suck, man. I'm glad it's a resolution trip, though, and not to kick the whole thing off. Last time I was in the hospital was about a year-and-a-half ago so my son could get his Laryngomalacia fixed. Best of luck to you, though, and hope they don't leave anything behind!

Ask them to replace it with the Arclight.
-
Good luck!

I feel you. I have had three back surgeries from blown disks one of which made me temporarily paralyzed from the waist down. I can happily say I am walking now. I hope there are no complications!
-
I had surgery when I wad 3 months old ;-;
-
Good luck, m80!

I mean this in the most good spirited way but... Since you're like a cyborg at the moment does that mean you'll be playing an EXO? Just saying. Makes you a badass.

That sucks man. I was last in for an inguinal hernia. Let me tell ya boys, it is not too comfortable when a piece of intestine drops into your sack!
-
Hope everything goes well
-
Ooh. I was in the Hospital a few days ago.
-
Good luck mate
-
Hope you feel well man.

I had the same operation when I was 15. I hope your evar turns out better than mine did. It's really big and lumpy still and I virtually can't feel anything there. Fortunately the removal surgery is really quick and painless. You should go home same day.
-
Good luck, hope you get to feeling better soon.
-
Good luck and I hope for the best.
-
So i have one question for you!
How was it going through airport security?
-
Good luck with your surgery! I hope you have a fast recovery!
-
How long have you had it
-
Surgery you are having. Not performing.
-
Why did you get the metal bar in the first place?
