...for registration for a surgery I'll have on Tuesday.
They asked me the normal stuff, if I had had any major disease lately, if I was on any medication etc.
Did a couple of blood tests, ECG, blood pressure, all standard procedure stuff.
The reason for the surgery is to remove a metal bar from my chest, that was inserted about three and a half years ago.
I had this condition called Pectus Excavatum, which is a cave-in in the chest caused by the sternum being behind the ribcage instead of on level with it.
So I went through the surgery known as the NUSS procedure, where the metal bar was inserted which caused it to pop out and flatten. It's like bracers for the rib cage.
It'll be nice to finally have it removed. It doesn't hurt, but I can feel it pretty much constantly.

I have an appointment next week. Routine eye checkup but god it's a chore. Since my glasses aren't free anymore I just go there for an eye test out of habit but I used to be there FOREVER when I was little. I remember once I was there for 5 hours getting drops put in and having about six people looking at my eyes through different machines and painting stuff on the back of them, and then having to go pick a pair of frames but not being able to see myself in the mirrors thanks to the drops.
