If being gay is a choice, then could you with no outside stimulation, or thoughts of the opposite sex ever entering your mind, yourself become aroused by the sight of someone of the same sex?
If you can, congrats;
You are gay! YAY!
So if you're gay, and someone you know or even your family (Only posting this because of this thread) gives you a hard time, or quotes the bible and claims you to be an abomination for your 'choice', then ask them this question. If they are not completely lost from the realm of rational thought, it should get some gears rolling in their minds.
NOTE: I know that not all religious individuals are like this, there are many good religious people that accept and embrace gays. It's unfortunate that some rotten eggs have to give all, Christians for example, a bad name. Then again, it's not entirely they're fault if they are only blind because of indoctrination as a child.
I wish the best to you and hope it gets better.
Now, to add some discussion value to this thread, here's some cats. Enjoy!
EDIT: If you can not answer the OP question with a simple yes or no, then you are essentially proving my point. Don't deny it. If you believe being gay is a choice, and you believe this for religious reasons, then does your religion not teach you to answer truthfully? If you can not do so, you know we are right.
Being gay is not a choice, at least, not a conscious choice. That's not to speak on acting on those thoughts, of course that's a choice, but nobody choices to be attracted to the same sex.
