Gamestop Digital Codes and Pre-loading on PSN
I scrolled through the topics and saw nothing of this matter so...
I just purchased a download code for Destiny on ps3. Entered the code and got the "Code Invalid" error. Naturally, I called Gamestop Customer Service as I thought the code was bunk. Long story short, Gamestop wasn't able to clear their codes for pre-loading of the game through psn ( even though, the codes work just fine for xbox one users).
I just wanted too share this information and also, see if others had heard the same as I only talked to one customer service rep.
P.S.
The rep assured me the codes will unlock tuesday at 12 a.m.

1 ReplyI have exact same issue here it is i got my code 2 hours before midnight release and can not pre-load the game which is a huge 40 gb download. I think Sony did this not the dev as it would drive people to buy the game directly from PSN instead of another party. *slow clap* bravo sony! I am starting to remember why i walked away from consoles....

3 RepliesI'm having the same problem myself. I contacted everyone and they basically told me the same thing. It turns out that gamestop sold us the actual game and not a preload version of it. (At least to my understanding.) Because of this we can't actually start the download till 12am Tuesday. Again can't say this enough. This is to my understanding i could be completely wrong in my information.

2 RepliesI just posted a thread about this and I have been in contact with Gamestop to make sure they gave me the right code, then I called Sony and they told me they have no control over when the code is activated. It is controlled by the developer of the game. So I contacted Activision and they said that Bungie Help would be of better assistance. Talk about the run around, I just want to get started on this 21GB download (size could be inaccurate) so I can play at midnight at least.

4 RepliesBummer! I traded a few games at Gamestop for PSN cards which they werent too thrill about it.Its safer that way.Gamestop digital sales are abit choppy and shady.

3 RepliesThank the gods I'm not the only one! I've been on the phone for the past hour with the store, then gamestop customer service, THEN Activision customer service (which is CRAP), but none of them could help me. It better activate tonight or I will be raising hell.

I was told something quite similar. But I was told from psn that the codes are good but the psn server has to update for the codes to be able to be activated.

2 RepliesRight now I have something that worries me I preload the ps3 digital version and I now have the ps4, I tried to go to the ps store and is not letting me downloaded it keeps telling me to buy it, I talk to a rep today and he said that the game should be ready on the ps4 until released day
