what do I do with spin metal?
Is there something I can do with the spin metal that I collect? Besides discard it

You can use the material exchange and receive glimmer and crucible marks or vanguard marks depending on which dealer you go to. These can be used towards the purchase of the legendary weapons they sell. A lot easier then spending time in crucible trying to earn marks

every planet has a material that is used on some guns to upgrade them. like how on the moon map you find helium coils. thats one material.

Use it for upgrades on purple gear. Collect it when you see it because your going to need a lot when you start getting purple gear.
