Being a gamer for about 18 years and a Bungie fan since 2000, the standards of online gaming seems to be going down. I remember the days of playing online among randoms always expecting crazy fun to happen. Whether it was COD, Halo, etc; there was never a dull moment with someone always telling you "good game" in the end. With a rude community and rampant cheating (especially with the news of Destiny already being hacked), I think its time to put my consoles in the closet to focus on more important stuff. Hence why I'm saying Destiny is going to be my last game. It was a good run over the years but it pains me to see the gaming community going downhill like this. All good things must come to an end I guess, but I might be wrong.
Note: I'm still going to enjoy Destiny but no more games after that.

You can do real life things and still play games. And if online communities are making you upset, there's the games that come out every now and then... Called single player games. Some are linear 12-15 hour games and some you can spends dozens or hundreds of hours on.

I think you may be leaving just before the rise of a new golden age. People are out there now just like you, looking for fun, and virtual adventure, and more and more are beginning to condemn vitriol spewing gamers, seeing it as a plague that has festered too long. As ancient poets once proclaimed " One has to fight for their right to PARTY!"

Edited by MR E0S: 9/13/2014 6:02:31 AMDo not make Destiny your last game... ffs. That's just dumb. You're better off ending your gaming days with something like SPAZ 2. No joke. Different genre. But whatever. You're better off just giving up on any developer under the umbrella of any large publisher. Activision, EA, Ubisoft, etc. Support the little guys more and watch where it takes gaming.
