**Update**
"If you can't beat'em, join'em." I know how to use the Fusion rifles now.
Still, the Fusion rifle I pitched down below isn't a bad ideal.

Bungie, the Fusion rifle is the only weapon I have a problem with in competitive multiplayer. They are so overpowered. They're literally all range shotguns. I'm getting shot with them at full health and dying from any to all ranges. It takes no skill to use them and I think they should be tuned in this way:
+ They should act as Destiny's 'bow and arrow,'...
- shooting one bolt instead of three.
+ The reticle should be smaller and head shots should be the only way to get a instant kill...
- body shots should be two hit kills.
Now we talk about the charge speed. I don't see that the charge time needs to be changed for any of the fusion rifles, because I understand high level fusion rifles have cut down speeds from low level fusion rifles.
This whole post is just about making the fusion rifle more satisfying to use. At the moment, it's such a noob weapon(I hate using them). Put some skill behind it and take my suggestions for tuning it.
P.S. Fusion rifles, as they are right now, should only be tuned in my suggested ways for competitive multiplier.

Like the idea. Fusions do need to be changed up

I think they should keep it as it is but move it to the heavy class, most classes can eat a rocket during their super, but guess what they can't eat? Oh right, it's a fusion rifle.

Edited by DEZARATH: 10/13/2014 12:58:12 PMNo it's a PVE weapon and stupid Bungie stuck it in PVP where you precious egomaniacs are not a batch of level 28 Hive Knights with impossible shields up their mummified rectums. That's why you don't nerf the Fusion Rifle. It crowd controls the end game enemy. It's not meant to be used on a competitive player base because they can't handle it killing them. But it got stuck in there anyways.

Edited by Starseid: 10/13/2014 12:33:56 PMI like the Bow and Arrow idea. Though keeping the multi shot to it would be better. Perhaps making it so that holding down the trigger for a longer time charges the shot and the release puts it out. If you are in the heat of battle, you could hold it down the full way and release for an insta kill with longer range (mid range at max) but holding down for short bursts can lower the kill rate down to a 3 shot but a higher fire rate. Much like how bow mechanics work in an actual game. The longer you draw back, the more power. Though I already love how the rifle works now, this would work to if people really are having issues with it in PvP. (I don't play PvP anyways due to how unbalanced it is.)

So basically, you are saying you want these weapons tuned down to a level that satisfies you, only when it satisfies you? They certainly don't kill at all ranges, as you claim, because it takes quite a bit of skill to hit a target more than 50 yards out with all of the pellets.
