Will setting your Xbox/Playstation to DMZ Host (you have to assign it a static IP) fix networking issues for some of you? I have my Xbox One set to DMZ Host and I have only experienced a few boots back to orbit. I am not playing on a university network. I play on Verizon FiOS through their standard issue router.
It should be noted that setting it to DMZ Host puts your console outside the protection of your router. Someone smarter than I might be able to explain why it is or is not a good idea to set it that way.
If anyone can speak more intelligently than I on this topic toss in your 2 cents for the benefit of the group - please.
