Here is, what I think, Destiny is lacking when it comes to MMOs: Lack of social aspect: you cannot effectively communicate with randoms in game, without using the console interface. The heart of a MMO lies in this feature. Being able to connect and chat with people during your down time, or to easily search for a group to do instances or missions with, is not only beneficial, but necessary. A large amount of players sharing a space: now, I am aware that there are not 16 million players at the moment, but I would like to think there are more than 15. Separating players into manageable groups is safe, but it is not MMO. I have had to do events on my own, in what is an open area where there should be more than one player...yet there was maybe one other person. I really like playing this game, but I feel that if it wants a long run with an influx of new players, it will be important to incorporate the MMO elements into the world.
