I've tried Crucible over and over. My friends tell me it's fun, and that you have to get use to it, but they're playing as Warlocks and Hunters. I'm constantly being wrecked by players, that are mostly Hunters and Warlocks. Even thinking about it, I don't really see that many Titans in the Crucible. The Titan abilities seem to only really work in defense, even the Striker Subclass. Is any other Titan just getting destroyed out there? I'm good at games like Halo and Battlefield, and I'll admit, I'm not great at Crucible, but this is out of control! Does anyone feel the same? Are Titans a weaker PvP class?

You might need to practice a little more
-
I think that it goes hunter, titan, warlock. I main a warlock and second a titan and it's the abilities that I think just outclass in terms of uses and advantages. Probably try rushing less and playing the right class with the right game mode.
-
I'm not gud in crucible but when I do play I've felt that titans are the weakest.
-
Titans can do the crucible. Your just not used to it yet.
-
Playing my majorly unupgraded Striker and Defender subclasses have proven to be more or less easier than playing my hunter, mainly because of the fact that both my super and grenades are entirely too easy to get kills with. And I don't even have the lightening grenade yet.
-
The only spot titans are lacking is in movement really.
-
I play a Titan Defender and do pretty well usually first or second place.
-
Your Titan has a woeful lack of grenade kills. Seems like a good place to start to me. Titans have the best grenades in the game.
-
I mained two titans for a very long time. The Titan is still my favorite class. But when I finish Iron Banner on my Titan and switch to my hunter I just feel bad for my Titan... Hunters are easy mode.

Edited by Engagedrook8: 5/7/2015 7:14:21 PMBit of both maybe, I can be fairly successful with striker
-
Yeah, pretty much. Titans are still very viable, don't get me wrong, but both Hunters and Warlocks are definitely better. They have better abilities overall. Titans Strikers have really good grenades (lightning) and that's about it. Their supers (i.e., WoD and FoH) are lackluster when compared to the others. Hunters have the best supers. Warlocks have the best melees. There's a reason why Hunters and Warlocks (in that order) are the most played classes in PvP. You can notice this yourself when playing pvp. Every match is packed with both and it's rather rare to see a Titan. Failing that, look at the destiny tracker leaderboards, chalk full of Hunters and locks.

U are bad I am sorry

Edited by Average: 5/7/2015 9:08:37 PMi'm not trying to be a dick, but you are just not good at all yet. The striker titan is the most overpowered crucible class. Warlocks are a close second, and might even be tied. Probably the shoulder charge is what pushes titans over the top. Their grenades, super and shoulder charge can go positive without even firing a shot. EDIT: if you look at the date on that post, it was quite some time ago. I now know that i could not have possibly been more wrong
-
You're worst Titans are one of the bests to use
-
I like my titan for pvp. Like to hulk smash people capturing points in control. Shoulder charge is very newbie frendly but other than that fun to play!
-
I main a Titan as well, and I believe I've mastered it. The key is to believe no one can surpass your skills.
-
Fastest class in the game.
-
I have all three and I'm not really a bad PvP-player (warlock and hunter are around 130 in combat rating). But I have to say that the Titan is by far the worst and also the least used class for PvP. Huter is the best and also most used class.

Titans don't have blink, thats needed for competitive pvp in destiny (if there even is one)
-
On paper, yes. But skill is a huge factor in Pvp.

I play all three characters....and they are all very capable in the Crucible. You just have to learn what each character's strengths and weakneesses are. 1. As a Titan, you want to keep every fight a GUNFIGHT if possible. Because your melee attack has the shortest reach i the game in the game-----and your supers the shortest RANGE----to offset the power of your other character abilities. 2. Learn how to take advantage of your powerful grenades. For strikers, Flashbangs can be a deadly addition to your gun skills. Throw a flashbang into a room just before you go in, and any enemies will be blind and nearly helpless. Use your lightning grenades to set traps and restrict enemy movement. 3. As a Striker, look for enemies bunched up where youre FoH can get you a quick muliti-kill. As a Defender, think of your Ward of Dawn as "portable cover".....or (if you have Helm of St. 14) a means of restricting enemy movement. Because enemies go blind (just like the Striker's flashbangs) if they enter it. Even if you aren't in it at the moment.

Think you might just need more practice mate or try change charactor.

I get wrecked by the fist of havoc daily in crucible.
-
You must fückin suck at crucible cause Titans are awesome
-
Dual wield lightning grenades and you'll feel differently lol.
