I've tried Crucible over and over. My friends tell me it's fun, and that you have to get use to it, but they're playing as Warlocks and Hunters. I'm constantly being wrecked by players, that are mostly Hunters and Warlocks. Even thinking about it, I don't really see that many Titans in the Crucible. The Titan abilities seem to only really work in defense, even the Striker Subclass. Is any other Titan just getting destroyed out there? I'm good at games like Halo and Battlefield, and I'll admit, I'm not great at Crucible, but this is out of control! Does anyone feel the same? Are Titans a weaker PvP class?

Edited by D0OM_6-6-6Xx: 1/3/2015 6:05:51 PMI play striker a lot and what I do is equip flash grenades, shock wave super, and the chance for melee to immediately recharge after a hit and give health regen on kill. Make sure you have good agility and discipline (armamentarium is excellent) and you'll see the pvp power of titans. Edited some typos

With striker you can auto delete their whole team. I even use defender as offensive. Drop weapons of light, pull out my sphere sniper and I basically have a 8 round, long range golden gun.

Edited by hexxem: 1/3/2015 5:42:49 PMJust run AR/Sniper combo or Scout/Shotty and you'll do fine. Also sense you're a Titan you should save your supers for a anti super against others or for getting heavy.

Edited by FreakingElite09: 1/3/2015 5:35:51 PMI"m mostly a Warlock or Hunter cause of my play style, and I know how to do things against Titans in their Ward of Dawn, but I"m regularly wrecked by Titans with Striker subclass. It just depends on your strategy, like anything. Titans are very well rounded and stable. Just gotta find your grove, the right gear and the right perk settings. I have all three leveled to 29, Hunter is my favorite, but Titans are always a fun class in both PvP and PvE.

Titans are the best PVP class and I play them exclusively. If you want to pick up some quick tips on how to play certain maps as a titan then just watch some of my vids on youtube. DestinyPVPQaa51mB on youtube.

Edited by Swiftlock: 1/3/2015 1:20:38 PMFist of Havoc + OHKO Shoulder Charge + abusrdly powerful Lightning Grenades = worst in crucible? This better just be a really bad satire post.

You're just doing it wrong
-
I do good as titan, but I don't think it's because of his abilities. I tried my warlock void bomber last night for the first time, and it was so cheesy and easy to obliterate the other team. I wasn't even trying hwrd, tired and woozy from med for my toothache. It could have been a fluke though, I'll see next time.

I use a shot gun and shoulder barge, running round a map and slamming into peeps, or shotgunning them and if that don't kill them a punch to the head usually finishes it. Love my titan, last few games i've played i have needed to be shut down ;)
-
Oh really? I always wreck with my Titan on PvP. I'm decent with my Hunter. I shotgun run with my Hunter only because of high agility. I can stay back with my Titan because she can take some hits. How do play as ur Titan? I honestly think FoH gets kills easier than Bladedancing, just my opinion people

Every class is equal in the Crucible. The only thing to consider is your play style. As a Titan, we're afforded only two real ways to play in the Crucible (one of which only really works wel in Control and Salvage). 1: Defender. This class is solely made and used for area control and denial. The main reason to run this is the bubble. Your build should really focus on intellect until it's 100% then try and get discipline up there as well. On the bubble, make sure to use Armor of Light as the other ones are relatively useless. This will make you, basically, a God while you're inside your bubble. The only other thing you should try and use are the suppression grenades. These are super useful in controlling blade dancers, gunslingers, and sunsingers. Gameplay: you pop that bubble on a control point or piece o salvage and defend the crap out of it. 1: Striker. This is the "in your face" build focused on speed. Shoulder charge is your bread and butter please never use Juggernaut. That just makes you a free kill. Aftershocks and shockwave are must haves and you get a little bit of choice in grenades between lightning (my fave) and flash bang (always useful but low on killing power). Gameplay: don't stop moving. Master the shoulder charge and you'll be hated. Doing some death defying stunts with your knees and being able to instantly shutdown blade dancers and sunsingers with your fist of havoc will make you love this class. Think those things through and if they don't sound interesting to your PVP style, then Titan pvp isn't for you. Nothing wrong with that, just know that it isn't for everyone.

Well you have a shoulder charge that is an insta-kill when you hit a guy, your supercharge inst-kills everyone around you, someone's taking that flag? Smash running at me with a shotgun? smash just ran into their whole team? smash in defender magnetic grenade is an insta-kill if you stick someone, the bubble is awesome for taking points and avoiding deaths, and the overshield is nice.

Nah it comes down to playing style. I sucked with my Titan but wreck with my Hunter and Warlock only because their abilities match my play style.
-
I can own with my Titan. I think it just comes down to your personal playing style as to what character works best for you in Crucible.
-
Personally I find striker better for crucible and the lightening grenades get a lot of kills of you throw them at the walls rather than floors
-
I got Void Bombed out of the air while doing my FoH...didnt land it so I still had it. Went back, got GG out of the air my next try.. FML..
-
I soloed alot whenever I first started the crucible but with my Titan I still have a 1.77 kdr(which for a solo player ain't bad) but I can usually get a 1.5 or 2 kdr in crucible the key to the titan is to hit the enemy where they least expect you say your whole team is going one way and you know most of thier team is gonna go that way to. Take a different way and flank them to be completely honest I've wrecked whole teams even just charging in. Warlocks and hunters are easy to use in the crucible but if you master the titan you k ow your good. Just keep practicing eventually you learn how to read the combat and when it's a good time to pop your FOH. Also lightning grenades omg lightning grenades FTW.
-
Let me ask you one question! Do you hear the words *Guardian Down* quite often? If you do, you need to create a Hunter because your a disgrace to us hardworking Titans, who smash everything in our paths
-
Bro one of my best ways of having fun with the titan. I love my titan great fot you just need to work woth watcha got. Best ta say use your bubble in control put it on one of the checkpoints and wait with a shotgun. Luckily i have the universal remote so i can double shotgun baby
-
Yes you are worse than you think destiny is easy git gud.
-
Titans are decent. I find striker better for PvP. Fist of havoc which leaves wake damage. Overkill melee. Agility jump. That's my setup.
-
The other classes are OP so when you own them with a Titan they get butthurt
-
Yes. Do like I did - level your Warlock to 20 and make sure you have at least the voidwalker sub maxed. Then switch whatever good weapons you have to it and hit the crucible. Trust me, it will be night over day.
-
Titans are very dangerous in PVP. Use shoulder charge and storm fist. With the defender class, You can capture zones very easily.
-
I do well on my titan, but I've done some crazy shit on my hunter. I've noticed hunters jump disorients people in Pvp in close range and you can get the jump on them literally.

Considering in always on the top of the leaderboards in IB. I say you just suck donkey penis. You asked for honesty
