I've tried Crucible over and over. My friends tell me it's fun, and that you have to get use to it, but they're playing as Warlocks and Hunters. I'm constantly being wrecked by players, that are mostly Hunters and Warlocks. Even thinking about it, I don't really see that many Titans in the Crucible. The Titan abilities seem to only really work in defense, even the Striker Subclass. Is any other Titan just getting destroyed out there? I'm good at games like Halo and Battlefield, and I'll admit, I'm not great at Crucible, but this is out of control! Does anyone feel the same? Are Titans a weaker PvP class?

Not to be negative but you're bad, strikers have some of the easiest skills to use in crucible, I play a warlock as my main but it's always way easier with my titan
-
Definitely not
-
I haven't played crucible with my warlock but I find the titan is better overall than my hunter. Obviously invisibility is good but it's not true invisibility and the Arc Blade is relatively easy to counter if you time it right. GG is good but hunters overall are pretty squishy so can't take much damage compared to titans. Plus I've found if you get killed on activating Fist of Panic (but before you kill anyone) you don't lose the super energy yet if you get killed in the activation pose for Arc Blade or Golden Gun you do lose the super.

Titans I feel shine most in PvE but can do extremely well in PvP if they make so. They can easily wreck whole teams with their crazy skills if they put them to use correctly and WISELY. Not running around corners and getting shotgunned
-
Yup. They've always been the worst in the crucible.

My two setups: *Any slot not noted is personal choice* Control - Striker Eternal Warrior Shotgun Lightning Grenade Shockwave Shoulder Charge Stick to short sightlines and stay inside, if caught in a longer sightline... Switch to primary Other Gamemodes - Defender Saint-14 BH, Spear archetype Sniper Suppressor Grenade Weapons of Light Hang in your bubble, towards the back of the map, hop in and out of your bubble while Oneshotting with your sniper. Unflinching is really helpful for this.

Titans statistically have the lowest community kdr

Shoulder charge is not easy to use says Titans

When you watch the best clans in the game in a tournament the hunter is by far the most used class. You see some warlocks and a few Titans at best. But bare in mind that is 6v6. I've played my friends Titan when we swap accounts in pvp, I do the worst with it. What stands out to me as a mostly mid to close range player is the lack of a offensive grenade, the melee range, and no blink. In my limited time on the class I would recommend striker and playing very defensively. You can't lead fights around corners with firebolt, axion bolt or the arc grenade similar to firebolt ( can't remember name atm lol). Lightning grenade is great, but it's strength relies mostly on leading players in to you and landing it on the side wall or zoning. FoH for groups, radiance, arc blade, golden gun and heavy. This is the only clarity I can give you with my limited Titan knowledge. The game is still a gun game so skill is transferable. But if you want to win in pvp I would recommend the Titan the least.

The titan is a monster in crucible. I love running titan
-
You sir are not playing Titan right People play hunters and warlocks because they want it easy and get easy kills. That's why you don't see many titans in crucible because people press the easy button.
-
Mag grenades man
-
Use shoulder charge and you'll go places
-
Ur not running it right
-
The latter. You are not are not at a disadvantage because of what class you use. You are only disadvantaged when you are not yet used to your class. I used to be pretty awful at using the Warlock. It's now the only class I've gotten Flawless Rumble matches with, even with my Hunter Main.

They are indeed.
-
Shoulder charge for days
-
Titans wreck if you use them right I like bubble shotgun but fact is maybe Titan isn't your favorite try them all and eventually you'll find one you like best
-
Lightning grenade, destroyer of control points.
-
Titan bubble beats all.

Edited by GraciousEel761: 5/25/2015 11:16:33 PMDepends. Titans can be good. The Striker's Fist of Havoc is a hard counter to a Bladedancer Hunter and Defender Titan. If you can learn how to use shoulder charge, you will get some awesome kills with it. Defenders need to use their Ward of Dawn and Force Barrier buff to stay in the bubble and beat down opponents. You are nearly invincible with that combo inside the shield. Just beware of Nova Bomb, Fist of Havoc and Gunslinger. (Defender is a weaker PVP subclass, but still viable with magnetic grenades)
-
No. Its Radiance Warlock. It blows Weiners in PvP. Lost 3 times in a row to Thorn.
-
The last good titan is Ae gabriel
-
On my trails team I was a hunter 1 of the guys was a warlock an the other guy was a Titan and he got the most kills every game. 1 game me an the warlock couldn't even find anyone but the Titan murdered all three of them with out a super
-
Edited by Ariades74: 5/25/2015 11:10:54 PMIf you are aiming for a high score and k/d ratio hunters the best. A bladedancer will generally net more kills with their super and got the best defensive/offensive movement ability in the form of blink. In a pure 1v1 scenario with supers up a striker titan generally beat a bladedancer though. When it comes to warlocks there are a few sunsinger builds thats great for both 1v1 (rumble) and group pvp. The top players usually play hunters because of their skillsets. That being said you can excell with all classes since its mainly about gun skill, positioning and map awareness.

Im sorry to say your not very good at using this class then. Why not try the other classes if you're want to continue playing and maybe you will find success.
