Destiny’s first raid will open tomorrow at 2:00am PST. “This is by design, the most elaborate mission ever created. It is as much a puzzle as it is a gauntlet.”
Sounds exciting but also not really for the average casual gamer. You will need to be a level 26 or above. This might be something that might take the average person many many hours of gameplay after reaching level 20. You will also need to find friends that are in the same boat as you. This will not be something that you can just group up with other players at random. They must be a part of your friends list and you have to make a fireteam. The third issue of this little event is that it is something that Bungie expects people to take upwards of 4 hours to finish, even longer for many.
I will not be taking part in this event tomorrow for several reasons and I am guessing a lot of you will feel the same way. First, they are starting the event on a Tuesday. Most of us work on that day. Second, I have been lucky enough to put quite a few hours into this game but have just barely reached level 21, let alone 20. Third, I do not have a solid 4-5 hours to play this game on any day of the week. I don’t know if I would want to anyway.
I hope some of you will get the opportunity to partake in this event. Please let us know how it goes. But I do hope that there will be some things in the future that will be catered to the less extreme players out there.
What do you think?

I agree that it's aimed more at the hardcores than us casuals. Like you, I work week days and don't get a massive amount of time weekends to grind through the game so this is something I'll be giving a miss as well.
