WTF is the Cryptarch's problem?
The cryptarch is Pure Evil.
After HOURS of grinding I finally get a Primary Weapon Legendary Enegram and do you know what that asshole gave me?

5 RepliesI love how angry people get at the cryptarch, just go buy some gear it isnt that hard to hit rank 2 in vanguard or crucible if you actually try to get it. Or buy things with strange coins. To me the cryptarch is kind of like a lottery, its fun to play but if you expect to get something good you will be disapointed.

Yeah it may be annoying but that's they way the game is you're not gonna get a legendary when you snap your fingers. The game makes wanted to make it a challenge. Not a walk in the park

To be honest he is really, really annoying, but I like it... I like that its hard to get good stuff from an engram, otherwise everyone would be running around with fully kitted out legendarys and an exotic too soon! I like the suspense of clicking the engram to see what you get, then going off and trying harder to get more!

Welcome to the pain of RNG. So not only are you dealing with it when killing mobs to get loot but your dealing with it when you get them decoded. I could go on about about how mmorpg'ers have put up with it for years and how many have gone months without useful drops, but ultimately its pointless.

Makes sense. Indoctrinated bastard. Welll actually edit that, hes all of the above.

I don't care if the blue or green Engrams ever turn into anything but green or blue gear. When I turn in a Legendary weapon or armor Engram I want a Legendary weapon or armor for the class I'm currently playing as.

It can work the other way too. I got a Legendary Pulse Rifle (Fair and Square) from a Rare Engram. I keep getting the same Uncommon Warlock Bond from multiple Rare Engrams though.

I have had 5 heavy weapon legendarys and he gives me the same rare gun every time!!

One of the issues I have is being level 20 (24 including my light) and when I decrypt items they're level 16 or 18. They're supposed to decrypt into items for my level that's why these people run around saying save them until you hit 20 which I don't agree with because you rank up as you decrypt but that's another topic altogether. It would at least be nice to decrypt something and compare it to my existing gear to see if it's even slightly better.
