Maybe we should not be sending troops and medics. This can, and likely will, spiral out of control. The only way for it to hit the West, and do a good job on us is if we have a lot of people come down with it. Sending troops, who will likely be in close proximity to infected people seems like a good way to increase the number of Westerners that will return with it. At this point, it may be in the world's interest to not fly into Africa, break all railway lines going into it, and cut it off. Let this burn out naturally. Given how the people are reacting, and how the supposedly simple precautions the CDC says halts the spread are not being followed... We may not be able to do anything but make the situation worse.
