Like many, after hitting level 20, I went on a quest to attain my first legendary item. Alas, after decrypting 5 purple engrams (all from leveling my "cryptard" (yes I'm coining a new name for the cryptarch)) I got a item for a class I do not have! I'm more amused then frustrated, I love the game, it has flaws. None the less it's a blast! On to the next legendary!

Love the new name cryptard, quite fitting for someone who only spits out motes of light and fares from my legendary engrams.

Edited by RagedHalomaniac: 9/19/2014 6:46:53 PMThere are certain engrams that tell you if they have a chance to be for another class. You can put that into the vault and (if you have one) use it for another character.
spoiler alert
Ooh I do like "cryptard".

I think of legendary engrams as lottery tickets. "Oh look, that vandal dropped an engram. Since it's purple, there's a small chance I'll get a legendary item."

Yup, I've gotten Rare Leg Armor for a Titan and Legendary Warlock Gauntlets. I play a Hunter, but it's alright. I stored them in my vault, and I'll pick them up when I start new characters.

Wow you sir are a nice guy

Finally, someone who's not a butthurt little kid whining how the game isn't giving him exotics every single engram. Kudos to you sir.
