My question to everyone out there is whether you think space travel is necessary for humankind. Or should we first discovery all of earths mysteries or not go anywhere and just stick to earth keeping to ourselves?

Well I think we should discover Earth's secrets but I believe in order to do so we must have a stable civilization that is self sufficient first. To do this we would probably need resources not accessible here.

Edited by TangentialShark3: 9/23/2014 10:50:39 PMIn my opinion, planet Earth can sustain humanity's overpopulation and destructive lifestyle for another 100-150 years before major consequences begin to arise. Let's hope we discover suitable places out in the stars and a way to get there in time. The U.S. for example already plans to have man step foot on Mars within the next 10 years :)

Of course! I've always wanted to explore uranus.

Well we are over populating so another planet to support us would greatly help but of course at first there would be issues when a lot of people leave because we still need people to run things. Too little people would cause issues as well.

BEGINNING TRANSMISSION: (Low melodious hum.) Simple Answer: Yes Simple Explained Answer: Space travel offers humankind a means of exploring the unknown in order to make it known. To look into the sky, you only see an extremely small portion of what is known. To look at what is known, you only see an extremely small portion of what is really out there. However, this is only one of many reasons. ENDING TRANSMISSION:

It is to me. Without the proper application of the death penalty and abortions, we're doomed to overpopulation. If nothing else, we should be debating how to make the Moon habitable.

Space travel is very important

The only thing space travel will do is multiply our problems and spread them all over the solar system. We should learn to sort out our problems not run away from them.
