Destiny Friends List Issue

I logged into my character today and my online friends list was empty even though i had 8 friends playing destiny just wondering if anyone else has had this issue and if there is a possible fix that i can do so i can go back to playing with friends

I don't have this issue in game but I have this issue on the app and it won't show my friends
