Lol seriously. I predicted this from the beginning, before alpha. I said if you randomize drops, you are contradicting the very method you claim to pursue. You don't "earn " that which is randomly given to you.

The more you play the more you get. Simple. Embrace the grind
-
In bungies defense, let me explain how RNG might be a good idea. 1: It increases the playability. If everything is random on a good game, people play it longer, grind, and hope for good drops. 2: It increases the excitement 3: It decreases the possibility of everyone running around with the same weapon (or armor on). 4: It adds curiosity to the player (I wonder what I'm fixing to get out of this chest). Granted, there is a better way they could've approached RNG but instead they made it a hell hole. Its great saying "Yeah I got the raid helmet today" to a friend and then him trying to get it and it not work out. I like RNG in the perspective of it being equality. Everyone has the SAME opportunity, but everyone has a different chance. IMO? I kinda like RNG

24-8 and no reward. Not a single reward...

Did a strike today, guy joined at the last minute, got 4 kills, and got Patience and Time 2.0. Wtf?

SHAMFUL DISPLAY!

Trading would make the "worst people get best loot" "problem" worse. Your argument for trading contradicts itself. Also its not that noobs get better loot, its random, RNG is the great equalizer. Also if they took out RNG the player base would shrink because casuals are the backbone of all games, and so bungie loses the potential to earn more money. Therefore this game needs RNG. Also, alot of people DONT CARE ABOUT THE RNG, AND SOME PEOPLE LIKE ME ACTUALLY LOVE IT.
-
That OP photo is thee most honest display of destinys loot system.
-
Bungie says a lot of things man......if you take anything they say seriously at this point you will be severely disappointed as time goes on.
-
Seriously, we should have at least some degree of trading. Maybe forced balance trading, so only an exotic for an exotic or something.

This inspires me to do as bad as I possibly can in crucible

One of the reasons I don't play PvP. This shit makes me angry.

-
This is why I don't play PvP. I'm really bad and getting good drops for sucking just doesn't seem right.
-
I don't really mind the loot, mainly cause I seem to have really good RNG and the drops I do get are usually exactly what I want or need at that time, but I do like the earn method a lot more. I remember the first time I saw a legendary engram drop in crucible. It was the top guy who got it and I knew that I wanted to have that engram, so the next few matches I worked as hard as a could to be at the top of the leaderboard and when I finally did take first place on my team I too got a legendary engram. It felt good because I felt like I had earned that legendary drop and would have liked for the loot drops to be more like that. Now I'm really good at the game and am rarely not the top player and find it a little annoying that as I'm doubling the score of the rest of my teammates I don't get any drops but more importantly it doesn't make them want to be any better. They won't have that drive that I had to be better at the game In believing that it would mean better loot for them.
-
This is why I can't play crucible.

It's plain to see that the truly talented Bungie members either left or were fired. Those running Bungie now put screwing over their players as their biggest priority. No Story, No Vision, Lies upon Lies as to how Expansive, Mysterious and Enthralling Destiny would be. Destiny has a Mad-Lib produced plot, Brain Dead Enemy AI, Zero Surprises, just Endless Repetition. It has the most Boring and Dead game worlds ever encountered. What a GD waste. No way is Destiny gonna last 10 years in this appalling state! I'd say Destiny 2 actually getting made is a long-shot. Players have good reason to feel betrayed and let down by Destiny. Bungies former stellar reputation has been demolished, never again will pre-order or buy a Bungie game without giving reviewers time to find out how awful it is.

I feel like looking through this list will hurt me, so... I better not.

I've seen one person who has gotten a gjallerhorn and be in first place. So sad
-
how about THEY do all the work and WE just dance around all day and die

First whoever said we should reward those who do bad is a bleeding heart liberal. I think you shouldn't get any loot if you're in the bottom half. You got your rep and marks, and possibly had fun playing a game. Rewarding people for mediocrity is the most ridiculous thing our society has come up with. I've had situations in this game for example, I encountered a public event to eliminate a target. How many knew there are 4 levels of how good you do? The highest being gold or 3 star, next silver or 2 star, third bronze or 1 star. The fourth is a joke, it's still 1 star, and it's called "event participant." What is wrong with saying "FAILURE", cause that's what I see anyways. Are we so afraid to hurt people's feelings that we had to say "at least you tried"? Suck it up and get better cause you failed would be better. Failure is part of life. Those who learn from it are successful, and those who don't learn are left behind. Don't misunderstand please. I'm not saying we shouldn't help people. We just need to stop telling people it's okay when it's not. One last thing. A reward system is how you encourage the behavior you want. For example rewarding someone for being AFK must mean that is how you want us to play.

Actually this is just luck, on my hunter I purposely finished last 50 games of control in a row and I noted the items each place received after the game. In 50 games nobody got an exotic, and the only placing to get any legendaries was 3rd place with one heavy and one boot engram For blue distribution it went as follows: 1. 3rd place 2. 1st Place 3. 6th place (me) 4. 5th place 5. 4th place 6. 2nd place So according to my 50 game data point the best place to finish would be third as it was rewarded with the most legendary and blue items, However you'd be better to place last than 2nd. The system is purely random so my 50 game study really means nothing when it comes down to it. However this pisses me off to no end as i believe the person in first should be guaranteed a blue or higher and the only people who get legendaries should be third or higher exotics 2nd or higher. Reward skill in this broken mess of a PvP maybe more people will play it.
