Lol seriously. I predicted this from the beginning, before alpha. I said if you randomize drops, you are contradicting the very method you claim to pursue. You don't "earn " that which is randomly given to you.

I have only a few screenshots of similar situations playing out. I stopped taking them because of how laughable the crucible is. Lead top of the scoreboard multiple rounds in a row? You get.. nothing! That kid that joined mid match and scored bottom of the team? Yeah, we'll toss him a legendary. Come on, Bungie. 2 RepliesThis is the reason I only play the crucible when a friend asks me to because he wants to play otherwise I never play. It's not that I'm bad but I'm tired of there not being a skill based loot system in the game. 5 games in a row I top listed and got nothing. Not a blue engram, a strange coin, a mote of light, an uncommon or anything while the bottom of the list all got rewarded exotics/legendaries. There is no fairness in this system. Only complete the match do whatever and get rewarded for not backing out.

Or if I get a rare engram instead of getting the rare item I get some stupid coin. Or just recently I just got a rare engram and instead of getting a rare item I got an uncommon item. That is just so freaking broken it's not funny. As for the crucible it's not fair to give the best players the best gear. Why? Because they are already beating everyone else no one would want to play crucible except for the marks and the rep points which would pretty much bring it down to the top 12 players of the game. Everyone else would just abandon the game out right. I know I would since I've already beaten the main storyline of the game and the other stuff is just a loot fest with no real story to speak of. Actually I honestly think that they need to do more story for the game. PVP is ok, the raid of the week is meh. Without continuing main story quest the game loses its appeal after that to most gamers who aren't hardcore MMO, PVP players. This is my opinion at least. You look at most MMO's out there. WOW, STO and others. Yes there is a level cap and yes they do promote the PVP and end game raids but they continually shovel out new story based missions to keep people interested. As it stands it took me about a week to beat the main storyline and now I'm stuck doing raids and PVP. I'm bored already. Last but not least is the constant disconnects from the game. Doesn't matter what I'm doing. I could be in mid game play and bam I'm out of the game. The game requiring a constant connection isn't the issue. The fact is the servers can't handle the load. They did a beta test to see if the servers could handle the load and they still can't. They should have post poned the game launch until they had servers that could handle the load. These are my thoughts.

Yah Ive seen that I watched a person with the lowest score get a yellow hand cannon lol he died 28 times with with only 3 kills and 3 assists..... was kinda annoyed but with a hell of a time like that I guess he diserved and suffered enough lol

[b]UPDATE[/b] 9/25/2014 Just read today's patch notes: [b]Loot[/b] [b]He Who Shall Not Be Named[/b] Long ago during development, the Cryptarch decoded engrams of a given color into gear of that same color. Early in 2014 we added randomness, both for better and worse, to the decrypting process. The result was that end-of-session engram decoding got a lot more exciting and the Cryptarch himself suddenly acquired a personality. Both of these experiences were positive additions to the game. But we didn't adequately communicate the potential random outcomes of decryption. Players see what looks like the familiar metaphor of item identification, while the Cryptarch thinks he's opening a grab bag of loot. Rage sharding of blues ensues. Expect to see changes to address this soon.

In my opinion exotics should never be randomly awarded, they should always require a set task to be completed like the exotic bounties.

Rewarding performance is what it should be. Keep the good players happy and give a goal to the people who are not so good. But give everyone a chance to get something good, so the bad players have a chance of getting something better. Plus you don't have to play PvP to get good gear, plenty of other ways to do it.

3 RepliesI have friends who have been playing since the game came out and they barely have any legendary or exotic gear. A few of us wish we can help him out by trading so we can actually do the vault. The game has become a grind fest with no real solution insight.
