  • True, id say that the loot system in PVP should either be removed all together or changed so that the rewards make a remote amount of sense.

  • well without rank, half of the hardcore pvp players won't bother. Others like the chance of incentive. Skill=\= luck

  • Yea but I literally only get items if I do bad, for example last night I played 5 or 6 games where I was first in the game by a good ammount. I didnt get a single item the whole time, then about an hour after that I played one more game where I got destroyed, I joined near the end and only managed to get one kill. Guess what I got? A legendary engram...

  • Here allow me to tell you how probability works. It is lets say 1/1000 chance to get an exotic, and the rest are of a similar # or chance ratio. You do 20 games it's not going to change your chance. It will still be 1/1000 for each game you play. It's a coincidence you get something from doing poorly nothing more.

  • I would agree except that it clearly isnt just random. Based off of the games ive played if it were truly random the odds of the person in last always getting items would be very low, but it happens multiple games in a row multiple times a day. Way to often to be truly random, it would be like flipping a coin 30 times and being heads every time. Yes its possible but just barely, and the odds are astonomically small.

  • ive never seen anyone get an exotic that was not is last or second to last and ive seen about 12exotic drops in crucible so far, and 80% going to the person in last

  • I frequently have most captures. Never even landed a purple in crucible. That kid with the 1-15 KD though... At least 4 engrams and 2-3 specific legendary pulls.

  • I cant tell if you are trolling, or play too much COD. Objectives games arent about kills, so KDR is redundent. SPM(score per minute) is far more important. That "kid" may have a 1-15 kdr, but the caps, zone neturalizations, and assist mean way more in that game mode. either wayi went and looked at your recent control games, sorry. My advice is to focus more on teamwork and flag points as oppossed to kills with shotty/autorifle/rockets. Thats how i get my drops in pvp [spoiler]dat KDR tho[/spoiler]

  • Ehh. The ratio may mean crap but kills net more points than captures (especially when you lock up a few zones). If spm is so important, kills are still the top of the scoring pile, right?

  • exactly. Kills net you more points and the scoreboard is orginized by score. so it list kills so you understand how they got a higher score rather then "OMFG WTF HE HAS 6 CAPS HOW DID HE OUTSCORE ME!?"- honestly happened in a halo 3 lobby btw.

  • you missunderstand me, i believe. basicly there is no matchmaking based on trueskill due to that is how the reward system works. if you get 1 kill and 10 deaths in team death match and they are all by someone who has a better combat rating you are not punished as harshly as someone who gets 3 kills and 4 deaths by lower combat rating. You get rewarded for killing the better combat rated. You get penilized for dying to someone with a lower combat rating. Your SPM/KDR plays into it, but whom you kill counts more for then how many- and in objective you are rewarded more for solo caps/score then if the whole team is there. is any of that making sense? i dont even know anymore.

  • how could the system tell the diffrence between someone who is clearly out matched and someon who is afk from thier spm, kdr, or trueskill values pray tell?

  • The simple solution is that the guy in last shouldnt get a good item, give them a rare engram since it will likely help them out but give the actual good rewards to someone who deserves it.

  • "the guy in last" could have 50 assists in one game, with a shit KDR bc of it. Noone "deserves loot" from pvp. I wish they would take it out. At least put some matchmaking rnak into it like halo 3 so you play with people on your level. It sucks being overpowered/ overwhelmed in pvp bc of your gear and perks.
