We had a saying in World of Warcraft: The worse you are the more RNG loves you. Honestly the worst players in our raid would routinely win BiS loot (best-in-slot) from coins whereas our best players would fail to coin anything, and on top of that the item they need wouldn't drop. Which was awesome when it was a very important Main Tank item, makes doing Heroic content that much more fun (and by fun I mean harder). TDLR: RNG is RNG, it's not just Destiny.
