exactly. Kills net you more points and the scoreboard is orginized by score. so it list kills so you understand how they got a higher score rather then "OMFG WTF HE HAS 6 CAPS HOW DID HE OUTSCORE ME!?"- honestly happened in a halo 3 lobby btw.

So if rewards are driven by spm, how do kills not help as much as captures or the like?

you missunderstand me, i believe. basicly there is no matchmaking based on trueskill due to that is how the reward system works. if you get 1 kill and 10 deaths in team death match and they are all by someone who has a better combat rating you are not punished as harshly as someone who gets 3 kills and 4 deaths by lower combat rating. You get rewarded for killing the better combat rated. You get penilized for dying to someone with a lower combat rating. Your SPM/KDR plays into it, but whom you kill counts more for then how many- and in objective you are rewarded more for solo caps/score then if the whole team is there. is any of that making sense? i dont even know anymore.
