What bungie could do is not show you what loot other people have been given. That would be an easy fix for them. That way the loot system will feel more personal to the individual. By changing the loot system as a whole you are rewarding better players and weeding out bad players which I think is wrong. If someone is putting the time in then that person deserves a fair chance at loot to make their characters more powerful. As for people just going afk in a match that would require a different system. I think the problem with a lot of you guys is your equating bad players as being lazy. Bottom line don't show other people's loot.

  • I like this thinking. Then there can be no jealous complaining. Don't get me wrong; it sticks in my craw a wee bit when someone did worse than me got stuff and I got nothing, but I do try to employ the 'ah well, good for them' mentality. But not showing the loot that others get would stop both the tension, and the complaining. Good point sir!

  • I can sympathize with how you see it but there are other sides to that argument, like if a player is rewarded whether they try or not what incentive do the bad players have to get better? or is it fair to the good players that they don't get any form of reward for working hard to be better than player x

  • That is a good point. It's a tough topic to be honest. I still stand by what I said that all players are different and I believe it is wrong to reward someone who is good just because they are a good player and penalize someone cause they don't have the skills. But I see your point there is no incentive for a player to try harder for the sake of the team. You would need a system that would reward team players. Like I said by removing our ability to see what other people are earning removes the number one glaring problem of people being angry because someone else has got something that they have not. But at the same time it is just masking another problem and that is that you don't have to try to gear up. I personally would remove all random loot from the end of each game and just reward crucible points depending on objectives completed like holding a flag site or capturing a flag etc. Also base crucible points on win or loose that would give people an incentive to play better. What do you think?
