The Magical Wonder-Friends Friendguard Part 3 Chapter 3 Note: I will be condensing large chapters with spoilers, like chapter 2. Disclaimer: No offense to DeeJ or ninjas in my stories. Chapter 3 - The Catacombs [spoiler]Recon Team came trudging into Alpha Base at 5 hours past sunrise. Elbow carrying the head of the Destitroll, Bio carrying Daz. Grand Master Zoltoyde greeted them at the front gate of the camp with two armed floodians. "Elbow! The raid went well I see" Zoltoyde shouted. "Yes, but we lost Daz before we could interrogate him." Replied Elbow. "No matter" said Zol, "We still have [i] him [/i]." Bio grinned behind his helmet at this notion. Once inside, Burninator greeted them distractedly while talking with Katana Dankakataee. Ktan was reading something on a screen. After a few muttered phrases, Burn had them retell the mission. He thought, hard and then turned around in his seat, "How are they looking, Ktan?" "They're doing well. They're firing on some ogres, all are on track.. To.. Wait. Dire and Jphn are off the radar. So is Ender! Wizards moving fast toward their last location." "Could they have found the catacombs?" Burn asked. "No.. They can't have hoped to succeed in taking on the [i] Catacombs [/i]" "Send in someone to extract them, else they die before tomorrow" said burn gravely. "Give us 10 minutes and we'll go" said Elbow, gesturing to team Recon. El Burninator let out a sigh, "alright. But be careful, DeeJ may be in there.." And so Recon team geared up and ran back to their ship. [/spoiler] Chapter 3 part 2 [spoiler] Recon team surveyed the chaos of the firefights remains. "Footprints!" Rain called as he approached the hidden door. He tapped it, and then jumped back as it shook and opened. They delved down into the catacombs, towards Echo teams lost signal. Soon they reached the Atrium where DeeJ found Wizard, and after dispatching some guards, found the door deeper. "I dont like this" said Rocket, fingering his Rocket Launcher's barrel, "Feels creepy". " We cant leave Echo team though. " Said Elbow. "Then we keep going" Said Rain. They went further into the catacombs, and when they were just about to debate heading back up, they crept around a corner and saw DeeJ pacing in front of Jphn and Wizard, both unconscious and in shackles. They then saw what DeeJ was pacing beside: Dire, on the floor, in convulsions. Bio was about to run out and fire, when Rain held him back. "Wait, look at the ceiling" whispered Rain. Bio looked up and held back a scream. Along with carcasses of Floodians, two massive, ugly, beasts with four arms and 3 legs hung on chains tied the ceiling. They were watching DeeJ pace, unblinkingly. Bastage was not there to help them now. Dire tried to stand, but DeeJ kicked him in the head and he crumpled, every once in a while giving a massive shudder that racked his entire frame. DeeJ cackled and raised a sword he had been concealing. "As you are now no use to me....... Your head!". Bio could only make out a few words, but he nee Dires time was short. He spun around, "Quick! When I say go, Rain and Rocket flank left, Elbow and I flank right. Good? Good. Now, go!" The team sprinted out and flanked DeeJ while Rocket yelled "Git rekt desticle!" And shot off warning bullets at DeeJ. DeeJ was utterly confused and spun around, and launched himself at Rocket, who dodged. This gave time for Bio to run and undo Jphn and Wizards shackles, and they awoke groggily. Ender was in the corner of the room, incoherent and bent over in a heap on the floor. Bio ran over to him and rolled him over. Ender mumbled something about spiders and then fell unconscious again. Then bio heard it: A clicking kind of scream behind him. He spun on his heel, to see Elbow giving DeeJ a headlock and Rocket pointing his gun at the Beasts of the ceiling, who were now gliding to the ceiling on black tattered wings. Rain was helping Jphn and Wizard to their feet, his mouth open, gawking at the creatures. One of the beasts lunged and caught rocket in the chin, throwing him 20 feet and into a wall. Elbow was using DeeJ as a human shield and firing at the second, who was deflecting bullets with a forearm. The first beast ran at bio, who dive rolled to the left, and the creature smashed into a pillar, bringing it down on its own head. It got up moments later, shook itself, and growled at bio. Rain jumped and punched the beast in the eye, but the creature grasped him by the leg and through him headlong across the room. The beast now spoke, "I am Gangortok, and you will know true pain". At this, Gangortok blocked a few bullets from Bio's AR, and punched him in the stomach, winding him, before smashing him on the back. [/spoiler] Chapter 3 Part 3 [spoiler] While this was happening, Elbow had thrown DeeJ at the other beast, and continued to empty his mag into the staggered creature's chest, to which is roared with agony. It set DeeJ down and threw a stone that lay on the floor at Elbow, narrowly missing his head. Elbow was grabbed on each shoulder by powerful arms, and smashed down into the ground, dizzying his vision. "Is this the end?" He thought. Elbow tried to sit up but the beast now had a foot on his neck, pinning him down. Out of the corner of his eye Elbow saw something. He looked over, assuming bio was being strangled to death. Bio was shoving himself away from the other monster, but the stirring was caused by something else. Elbows mouth fell open as a deafening roar resounded in the cavern. Both monsters stood frozen in their tracks, for nobody had accounted for Dire, who was now transforming into a full sized Dragon, 15 feet from head to tail. Another roar and a jet of blue flames engulfed the monster attacking bio, igniting it in an inferno of fury. The monster screeched loudly and launched itself across the room at dire, who caught it in the throat and beheaded the foul monstrosity. Bio regained his composure and staggered to a pillar, leaned on it, and then picked up his AR and fired the rest of the clip into the back of the beast over Elbow. Dire was now bolting forward on black wings and tackling the dark minion, and smashing 3 pillars across the room. Bio helped Elbow up and the watched Dire finish off the last of the creatures health. Elbow gathered up the rest of the team, who were slowly getting to their feet. "Quite a fight you missed" said Elbow to Rocket, who was gaping open mouthed at Dire. Dire then transformed back into his more normal form, and everyone gathered in a circle. Nobody said anything for a long while. Then Bio spoke: "That. Was awesome". And with that notion, Recon and Echo teams departed for home, with DeeJ in captivity. [/spoiler] End Chapter 3 ~ Space Wolf
