Edited by ELRaSun: 9/26/2014 3:57:38 PM1. Server stability. And, for goodness sakes... Try to Announce updates ahead of time, with a target time and date, and then roll them out. Randomly kicking everybody some number of minutes later after the announce bubble sucks. Cost a few missions. 2. Better chat system / optional proximity chat 3. A way to quickly view which of your friends or former party mates are already doing a mission, DIRECTLY within the navigation screen. Not by going to the menu, scrolling through all your friends and seeing which activity they're doing. 4. Optional matchmaking in Every mode accept for The Raid. Some of the strikes even Say matchmaking but do not actually offer any matchmaking. 5. Redo the math and Make loot actually work in a rewarding way, rather than redoing the math to remove every conceivable way of speeding up the process (nerfing ascendant materials from breaking down the queens repetitive gear was a real slap in the face). 6. Leaderboards in The Tower. Dragon's Dogma had it right. Just outside of major bosses room, you could click the stone tablet and see the best in various categories. I mean this game is about becoming legend, right? 7. A relevant economy for glimmer and motes of light. 8. Shader preview / applying colors to individual parts of your gear set-up. Let people be creative, man. Stop restricting people to options they can for the most part only randomly receive. AND MAKE THE SHADER VENDOR ACTUALLY HAVE A WORKING ROTATION. But, mostly, the ability to mix and match colors and schemes is pivotal. Let people come up with their own unique color schemes. Even if you confine it to level 30, whatever. Just needs to happen. 9. Level 30 should unlock the ability to wear more than 1 piece of exotic armor. I mean, why even have matching armor, if you can't even wear but one piece at a time. As far as RPG/MMO-ish elements go, the whole point of tolerating the long arduous grind is to finally be able to see yourself all decked out in exotic armor. There just aren't enough armor pieces in the game to choose from as it is, because what you'll actually wear is largely limited by Light Level and Stats (for example, if you're like me, you prefer armor with the "Intellect" stat, to speed super charge up, stacked with the grenade kill super boost ability and "discipline" for faster grenade reload). It's not like armor is strictly cosmetic, it has intrinsic value. But, that limits your choices in terms of looks and colors. At least let me show off the fruits of my hundreds of hours of labor. Why even bother with Xur or the super difficult missions or upgrading The Cryptarch and the various factions, if you can't even use but 1 of each? 10. More TYPES of guns. Not just more guns that are reskinned with the same look and feel. But, actual innovative guns. We are in a star-jumping, fast travel, super-technological universe... yet the guns are as cut and paste as it gets. Yeah alot of the weapons have a story behind them. But, the strangers rifle and the exotics are really the only weapons with any flare. Besides the Aliens who have much cooler weapons than we do (see: Shock pistols with heat seeking rounds that bend around corners and still hit you though you're behind cover) 11. If you have top score in the crucible, you should be rewarded. Period. Same goes for performance in raiding and striking. I get it, they are being super nitpicky about "farming." So do it like public events then. Give a big reward only the first time per day. After that, let it be random or whatever. But with a MUCH higher chance for blue or purple. GREEN is not a reward for excellent performance. Halfway through the short story, green equipment is useless. And by the time you finish the story and hit 20, it is TOTALLY worthless. Other than for the little bit of materials you get from breaking it down. 12. FIX THE MARK SYSTEM. 150 Marks for an average weapon. 120 for a helmet. 65 for most others. And you giving a 100 mark limit per week. Yet you give bounties that require wearing mark, emblem, shader, etc. Takes weeks to accomplish, artificially. 13. Break down a legendary piece of equipment and only get 2 weapon parts / pieces of plasteel and 25 glimmer. That's anemic. And artificially extends the grind for upgrade materials. Can't be serious.. 14. PVP - Shotguns and Fusion Rifles should not have that type of range. Blade dance and gunslinger should not last that long. 15. GREATLY Reduce the occurrence of green items and slightly reduce the occurrence of blue items from purple engrams. Increase the occurrence of useful upgrade materials. I'd rather get useful materials that I can use, in lieu of a legendary piece of armor or weapon or mark, than to get something that would have been useful maybe back when I was level 17. 10 levels later, I should not be getting these items repeatedly. Deacon rocket launcher, shingen auto-rifle, mark of the six fronts. Stop it. 16. Smarten the system up, to actually account for what you have on-hand and in the vault as well as past gains. If I already have 3 shingen rifles and 3 deacon launchers, don't give it to me as a reward. If you have "rewarded" me with the mark of the six fronts, 12 times, that's a problem. The system should be smart enough to lessen the probability to a result, the more that result has already been received. Since they nerfed engram drops after your team dies, this is a good counter-balance. 17. If someone invites me to help them in a difficult mission, even though it's their mission, I should not leave empty handed. Just because I was invited in, doesn't mean I didn't fight the same angry hordes of aliens with 6 different crazy modifiers that have them doing damage as if they were 3 levels above, when they're actually 3 levels below. Oh, and while we're at it... the loot probabilities should be correlated to the difficulty of the mission. Why in the hell have I gotten dozens of drops from The Raid and The Nightfall mission and they're 95% GREEN and 5% Blue. These are level 26 - 28 missions. You cannot even attempt them until you reach a certain level. Low level people are not in these missions. Why are useless items dropping? A level 18 sniper rifle is useless to me, in a level 28 mission, as is a green helmet with No light whatsoever. Tone that down. Nobody wants to put up with that type of abuse, in terms of difficulty, just to be rewarded with equipment 10 levels below them. Or even worse, leave empty-handed with nothing at all. 18. Fix the hit detection code for PVP. If I catch somebody turning a corner and blast them in the face with my fusion rifle, they should not be able to keep running forward, knife me, 1 hit kill me, and THEN die. 19. WHY do I lose ammunition when I switch between like pieces of equipment. I understand doing an amount conversion between... say... machine gun to rocket launcher. But, if I 6 missiles and switch to another launcher, I should not magically only have 2. I understand how it adds value to PVP. But I am talking about in regular PVE, story, etc. That should not happen between like weapons. 20. Fix issues with damage to enemies not being detected properly, resulting in an effective Health Regen. In some cases I've "killed" an enemy 2 or 3 times health bar wise, before they actually exploded and their health dissipated. Yet, I was not reimbursed for the extra ammo that I wasted. 21. Fix how damage is scaled. I understand leveling up is not supposed to be like god-mode. But, I should not have to shoot or melee a Level 6 Knight or Vandal repeatedly, when I am Level 26. 20 Levels should feel like a 20 Level difference in attack power, along with the more powerful weapons that entails. 22. A way to view Grimoire Cards IN THE GAME. 23. Gear should have as much personality as The Weapons. It should be about more than just LIGHT. That could have actually made Destiny more rewarding. EXAMPLE: The Queen took over a Fallen House. Should have had something like... an Awoken version of a Fallen House Cape / Mark... and when you wear it, The Fallen don't notice you while they're busy fighting with The Hive or The Vex. That would have nullified the fact that their stats are already had on other pieces of gear which are probably partially upgraded already by most players who can actually complete her missions level-wise, by adding wildcard modifiers that give them personality. Just putting a quote below the weapon name doesn't actually give the item character. EDIT: 24. A clan room in The Tower. Where only people with that tag are able to warp in, kind of like people only in the same fire team warp into skull-health bar areas. 25. TRADING. I know I know. But the trading should be able to happen only immediately after a co-op mission / crucible run. When the other guys gets an exotic / legendary titan chest plate and I get my 3rd warlock glove as a Titan... we should be able to initiate a swap, 1 and done. And then rush to the tower joyfully. No loot / gold (glimmer) breaking mechanic. Just a quick swap amongst war buddies. We'll stop there...
