I made this post in response to people feeling like Xur is taking away the specialness on exotic loot... I like to approach this subject in a different way. If Xur has a different set of Exotic loot every weekend, then by the time the next expansion comes out (which is reported to have new exotic loot to add to the mix) then only around half of the exotics will have been offered( not even counting if they repeat the same exotic items on different weekends). If this pattern continues, then the longer the game is out ( including the fact that expansions will be at the same rate of occurrence as the first two) Xur will only be offering a very small fraction of the exotic loot available by the end of just one year. So yeah, it sucks right now, but they gotta give players something to keep coming back, but if your still a Destiny player in a year, Xur won't be that big of deal.
