We are investigating and are finding some strange results. If you are seeing issues that appear to be related to yesterday's even, please do reply and let us know.
That said, a number of the problems being reported in this thread are not related. Keep an eye on @BungieHelp and help.bungie.net for updates.

[b]UPDATE [9/27]:
[/b]The fix we are applying is to solve for players that can't get past the start screen to character select without hitting CENTIPEDE. This fix will not help those that are already playing and get disconnected with CENTIPEDE errors.
We have applied the fix to the majority of the reported accounts, and there is a good chance you can now play. Please test your account and reply to your post here to let us know if it worked! It is especially helpful for us to hear if our fix is allowing you to play. If you are still having problems please be patient as we apply the fix to all impacted accounts.

Xbox One GT: Boss F1ght Currently it takes a long time for party stabilization to clear and when it doesn't I get kicked with a vulture error code. When I do manage to get into a Strike, half way through I will be kicked with a various errors including ferret and jackrabbit. My NAT is set to open and have no problems with my other internet connected devices such as my 360 and PC.
