I feel your pain! 41 yrs old. Married 15 years, father of two, work 14 hours a day! My issue is bandwidth! Every time I get to play it seems everyone in the house is streaming Netflix on their iPads or Xbox's all at once! Nothing like getting kicked back to orbit just moments before completing a strike! Not too mention the rest of my fire team probably doesn't appreciate my sudden departure!

  • QOS is your friend. Pick up a router that supports it. Give your Xbox a DHCP reservation to make its IP static and then prioritize network traffic to/from it. De-prioritize everything else. Considering the volume of bandwidth you take up compared to everything else they probably won't notice. Or alternatively make yourself a m0n0wall appliance to replace your current router. Set up your own traffic pipe and reserve yourself some bandwidth. Problem solved.

  • Yes this is the pain of electronic families. With so many streaming services it makes twitch games near impossible. I feel your pain bro!
