I'm not saying this is definitely a false or made up account. It's possible it is true. But until it's proven to be true, I'm going to treat it with some skepticism. Now, if this is how the story plays out in a future expansion pack, we'll know that this rumor was true. Or if an official, named, source at Bungie admits it is true, then we'll know it's the truth. Right now, treating it as if it's the gospel doesn't give any of us any sort of advantage. It certainly doesn't offer any concrete insight to conversations on Destiny's current story and lore, since it might not be true or the story has been changed if it was true.
