Don't dismantle your Stranger Rifle.
With Bungie you never know if it's actually a key to a Easter egg.
The Stranger hands it to you. This could be Bungie's way of saying this is important for other things.

1 Replythe best thing about it is that it req level 16 i think. so you can just equip it on a 2nd and 3rd character and it will cut through everything until you can equip your exotics/legendaries at 20

Most games dont let you delete quest items, but that would make it obviously important and ruin the surprise....but also, why would a gun be the key to something? thatd be a super lame plot device in a game where weapons are completely expendable and become obsolete within hours.

2 Repliesthere are rares that are far better than legendaries other than Attack Value Try playing with any legendary vendor pulse rifle and the black suros and painted suros (rare crucible pulse rifles) will dominate each time.

4 RepliesEven though it's only blue I still consider it a legendary/exotic weapon. It can only be gotten once. So it's a unique item. It has the full auto ability. Which I have only ever seen on legendary and exotics. It's accuracy is amazing, even for a pulse rifle. In the crucible it can drop people easily at nearly any range. It has a decent sized clip. It has an amazing fire rate even without the full auto. Fast reload. Fast aim. A targeting reticle that does not intrude on your sight when aiming ... Ok what was I getting at? I seem to only want to use this gun again lol.

Yeah. It is just a rare, but it was the reward for completing the story and I'm sentimental. It will just rot in the vault till I need it.

I put mine in the Vault immediately.Then I made a new character and started using it when I got to level 16, and holy crap when you upgrade it all the way, its a beast in the Crucible.It has NO recoil at all, its damn amazing.
