So let's do the math. You are already going to be taking 4x the damage at the beginning.. At the end, you'll be receiving 8x the damage. Half a shot will kill your ass. Wait another 2 levels, and then find people to carry you. Wouldn't be surprised if your party of 5 replaces you.
