Not trying to defend it, but it is a game published by Activision. I can't believe people expected less. There are nearing on 20 games released by Activision that do the same. And people buy them. Activision's conclusion? We can keep doing this. I really can't believe that it has blown up this big. Grow up and realize that this is the way that gamers are allowing games to be sold. Don't like it? Stop buying games from big publishers.

I suppose you are right. It's a shame Bungle was the catalyst for this debacle
-
Call of Duty could have been but there was this big thing that people griped about that took precedence to the poor sales tactics. As I'm sure everyone can remember, it was about how every Call of Duty feels like pre-chewed food. They wanted innovation, and thus complained about the price of the game and never focused on the price of the DLC. MW2 had the first DLC pre-installed. The Hardened Edition came with an unlock code on disc.
-
Wow I didn't hear about the hardened edition thing. Only time I ever heard about on Disk DLC with CoD was in MW3 with terminal and that was Free.

Edited by XSoldat13: 9/29/2014 2:26:08 AMYep installed on Hardened, cut from basic. Now, this is where you might disagree with me. There is pre-installed content in the game. It was accessible in the Beta even. But that never means that it isn't done. I am not happy that things are pre-developed, but Bungie has not done me wrong while I was Xbox. So, for now I am giving benefit of a doubt to Bungie. I chalk this up to Acti. There has been worse though. Assassin's Creed Black Flag, Watch Dogs, GTA V. How are these worse? They take it a step further. There is footage in pre-release footage showing DLC. GTA V is the mildest with this as they are releasing said content for free. Then A** Creed with footage of your African crew member as a playable character. Then Watch Dogs takes the cake. They showed off all of the DLC before launch and had the nerve to dumb down the game. These companies have working footage. This means the DLC is ready or near ready. It should have been a free patch in. P.S. GTA V is in the list because of the delays with no confirmation of release date of promised content.

Edited by ChaosMetalMarty: 9/29/2014 2:30:58 AMWhat about the parts in Destiny's trailers that look like they got taken out and put in DLC: >Queen's Brother in the cosmodrome >The Jovian Planets And what about the fact that the locked off areas are actually playable and fully functional in every way with enemies and accesable and usable pick-UPS including a ghost shell and a final boss.
-
Edited by XSoldat13: 9/29/2014 3:01:35 AMWell, at least you got to play the DLC. Watch Dogs, had a scene where you executed someone who was trying to kill you. This was changed to a Deadmau5 knock off that you had to chase down. Whose to say that it was locked behind a DLC paywall. It could have been cut or changed. Of course we all know that they didn't put Peter Dinklage through a filter. I think I recall saying that they could add more to the game. Bungie hasn't rested on their laurels before. They have 3 months after release. They already have a model for Vetra before the game came out. They already had a bounty system and a counter for the Ether drops in place, so that din't take any extra development. They already have everything for the Iron Banners. What else could they be developing. If they aren't expanding on places already in game, they could be working on additional content for the DLC. If they don't, then they are worse than Call of Duty and I might just sell my PS4 as there will be no good games anymore. The Crew is going to be released by Ubi and be complete garbage. Same with Unity. CoD has been garbage since MW2. BF is garbage ever since EA wanted a CoD killer. Any other game that isn't released by these big companies screw over console players and develop for PC. If Destiny flops, I'm going to goy buy a PC and actually get good games.

Edited by Fresh Pancake: 9/29/2014 2:08:50 AMThey would defend it if it was 10 minutes long, had no replay value, and costed $1,000,000.

I am goind to build up hype for a game. Market it to the same desticles defending this game and lin the box it will literally be a spiked dido and the words "Go Fủck Yourself" and delight as the idiots defend the shit out of it
-
Wouldn't work, you aren't Bungie. If Bungie did that though, it would pass just fine.
-
Then I need to find an "uncorrupt" game dev and use them. I think Retro Studios would work perfectly.
-
Sounds like a plan.
-
and call anyone that had a problem with it "Entitled"

Pretty much fits the definition.
