Halo Reach - 15 sept to 1 oct xbox free game with gold - Download link for South Africa region is corrupt, microsoft solution = send me to Bungie Forum
As the title says, Halo Reach is currently up for free download for xbox gold members, I've tried downloading the game 5 times now since the download link was posted on the xbox website, my internet is slow so it takes me a day or two to get the whole thing downloaded (no interuptions, corruption can't come from my connection as confirmed with microsoft). I am able to download the whole game, but as soon as its done downloading the file gets labled corrupt, I can't play it (obviously). Now before anyone things "hey, go to microsoft support, it's their problem" please take note that I contacted microsoft xbox support a FEW times on this issue, Trust me when I say I've already memorised and done all of their "troubleshooting tips", the one girl on chat support asked what I've tried so far, when I gave her the list she said I've done every trick in their book and beyond and the only other suggestion they have is to contact the game developer, which in their books is Bungie. Now, I'm hoping I'm not going to get the same service from Bungie as I got from microsoft (I'm beyond fed up with microsoft), because I'm really looking forward to buying Destiny once I've saved up enough pocket money (64% there :) ) . I can understand that Bungie may not be as inclined to help me because I didnt buy the game (Halo Reach), I got it for free (or rather I am supposed to be able to get it for free from microsoft). I doubt I will get a reply on this before 1 october, at which point the downloads are supposed to end, but if I'm lucky, what is your suggestions? What am I supposed to do now and what can Bungie do to assist me?
If needed, the microsoft support ticket ref number is 1264184575 (looking at that number, can you see how many complaints microsoft has gotten up to date? Thats around 18% of the world's total population complaining about something to microsoft for only xbox issues)
