Not sure if anyone else has noticed this but [b]the titan's third jump ability, known as the catapult, is broken[/b]:
-The catapult offers no benefits whatsoever and is actually [b]slower than if a titan was running no second jump buffs at all[/b]...It lasts for approx. 3 seconds
I believe[b] the intended use of this ability was to[/b] be similar to Halo 4 or Halo Reaches thruster pack which was meant to [b]offer a significant boost in a certain direction,[/b] but[i] instead it merely offers a jet pack that lasts for 3 secs and is slower than all other jump upgrades[/i] (I've tested it)
I'm honestly surprised that[b] no one at Bungie[/b] nor the player base (though titan is rather underplayed and so people may have simply not noticed it due to a low saturation of players) [b]noticed that it's entirely broke[/b]
When the game was yet to be released [b]there was a patch stating that Bungie was addressing the random screen effects caused by the Titan Catapult,[/b] but I believe they accidentally glitched the catapult as now it does nothing
Considering both the warlock and hunter both have a blink ability offering them significant speed in traversal I'd say[b] the titans need this catapult ability as well...[/b] (preferably unbroken/glitched)
If your running a Titan character or know someone who can attest to this as well please voice your opinion or experence here and hopefully [b]Bungie will notice[/b]
(Also apologies for the excessive bold text, its meant to help those who suffer from TLDR Syndrome haha)

I must've been the only one imagining a hulk jump in the air, as if being catapulted in to the sky..I was so sad..went back to increased height..I love my titan but I swear we got shafted..the tank class with the least coolest melee stuff. I can pretty much kill a archon priest inside my ward off dawn, but a Hunter with blade dance..not even a chance..I think hunters need to be reevaluated

So its because of our agility. If we have high agility and low armor, it actually helps lift us up faster than anything else.

I thought Catapult's purpose was to be a fast vertical level-change for Titans, seeing as how their other two jump alts are very slow and floaty (i.e. makes the Titan a big piñata in the air). Catapult doesn't give a long burn time like Improved Control, or a high vertical distance like Increased Height, but it does lift the Titan off the ground very rapidly. It seems only to really be useful with a quick double-tap. If you're looking for extended straight flight, use Improved Control instead. It gives you the added horizontal thrust. Catapult is just for a short vertical liftoff for twitch-dodge purposes. That's just what I've noticed. I haven't played any PvP in quite some time, so don't know if people are still using it.

Yup, tested EXTENSIVELY and I came to a similar conclusion. I figured bungie didn't care enough to really do anything.

My main is titan striker, i stopped choosing the 3rd jump because it didnt do anything. Id have noticed a sligjt boost coz i notice it on my warlock. It does seem broken.

I play a Defender, Titan is love Titan is life. Anyway yeah I kinda noticed it but I though it was pretty pointless because when I tried it, there was practically no difference besides it was just a shorter Lift.

I've noticed this, I just assumed it sucked. I use upgraded height boost anyway.

It has boosted me quickly out of the way of shotguns and even a Nova Bomb once, but it's not much faster than Increased Control and getting up to ledges is a struggle. Catapult propels you in the direction you're moving, so running towards a ledge before you jump means face planting on the wall underneath the ledge, unless you stop and jump up first. I like the idea of trading overall mobility, like jumping up to high ledges, for an increase in evasive mobility, like dodging a melee attack, but Catapult needs a serious boost in acceleration. I'm sure it's been suggested already, but I'd like to see Catapult function more like Blink with a few key differences: - Acceleration is not nearly as fast as Blink - Can be cancelled mid-burn - Provides greater height than Blink - RIDE A BALL OF FIRE

Know what's funny? I bet they got the 3rd and 4th tier abilities messed up so one day when it's " fixed " you will notice that the 3rd tier no longer works lul
