This is how these games work...again...see WoW. Not only do you pay for expansions, you pay a monthly fee so that they can afford to keep development on-going between releases of content. Hopefully you're going to school for software development so you can work for Bungie for free so that no one will have to pay a whopping $35 for 2 DLCs *eye roll*.
1. This game is not an "MMO" 2. Many "MMO's" do not have a subscription fee(Aion, Tera, etc) and many of the others that do don't charge for "expansions"(EVE Online, FF14: ARR) 3. The only reason WOW still has a subscription fee is because Blizzard knows people are overly invested in the game and will continue to pay even if their game is quickly becoming dated, they simply can't let all their hours poured into the game be for nothing. (It should be noted that this is a similar defense tactic that I'm seeing as people try to justify this on-disc DLC horseshit)
Firstly, see my response to point #1. Also, how do you know what was leaked was all of the content? You don't. You cannot speculate on the DLCs until they are released or until Bungie makes a statement, but if it's 4-5 missions, 2 strikes 1 raid and crucible maps for $18, that's an easy choice for me. I work for a living, i didn't win the lottery, mortgage payments, car payments, pets, weddings all of that adds up, but i can scrounge $35 together for a game I can really enjoy.
4. Nobody is questioning the stability of your income or whether or not you can or can't afford to pay for this on-disc "DLC". People are asking WHY they should have to pay for something that they literally ALREADY PAYED FOR. No amount of twisting the truth will make this the right thing to do and only a fool or Activision/Bungie themselves would defend this kind of practice, end of discussion.

Destiny isn't a single person game either where you beat the 15 hour story and never play it again. It's somewhere in the middle, maybe even a new genre, why can't you be happy you have been able to play a game as much as you have (look at your profile) for only $60? I am very happy with a game that has allowed me to play about 70 hours so far and am still not be bored despite it not being an MMO. Also, the MMOs you listed may not be pay to play, but you cant say those games are doing or have done as well as a game like WoW or games where you pay for fresh content - those payments pay for the development and evolution of the game. People stop playing wow when the content gets old. I don't come back to wow because I have invested too much time into it, I come back every xpac to see the new changes and play the game until I get bored again, which is usually when life gets too busy or after the last raid is released and has been out for a while (I'm a filthy casual as someone before you pointed out). Then I unsubscribe and repeat.
4. Nobody is questioning the stability of your income or whether or not you can or can't afford to pay for this on-disc "DLC".
Again, how do you know all of the DLC is already on disc? You don't. You are acting like it's 100% fact that it is already on the disc. Ill say this again, looking at your profile, you have EASILY got your $60 worth from this game (and then some), so so what of the entire DLC IS on the disc? You have got what you paid for because they put enough content in the game for people like you and me to play this game for 60+ hours. This all comes back to entitlement. How many hours of pre DLC content should you be entitled to? If you think it's more than how much you have played, then there's your issue.
