Ship shaders?
Be cool to be able to change the color of your ship.

You can, technically. You buy new ships. Or find them, but whatever. I think it would be cool to build a ship out of parts. I mean, there's already the whole cosmetic slot system for ships (body, cockpit style, wings, thrusters, blah blah blah)

Some are identical but with different colors. It's already a feature!

Yes, and it would have made more sense in context of the story. We're out scavenging for parts to keep things running, there should be enough material to build a new ship every time we find a blueprint. We should be unlocking new designs for the ships instead, IMO.
