Server Issues Ruined My First Impression Of Destiny
I drove to the store and bought Destiny last night, super excited to play it today. I just started up my console and put in Destiny... and found out the servers have been down since the middle of yesterday. Hell of a first impression to give a new customer. It seems I wasted $60. Thanks, Bungie!
Anyone else have this experience?

I have had the game for a while and just started experiencing issues in the past few mornings that I cannot even play my game because I cannot connect to Destiny servers. I hate this because I have to work at the evening and this is my only time to play. :-\ Bungie please get this resolved ASAP. I was already looking to buy your expansion packs, but these server issues need to stop. Thank You, DP

Not their fault they got DDOS attacked by a group of assholes.

If they just have region servers like in Defiance....some of my friends from Guam keeps getting disconnected as much as I do here in Oahu....damn you RoadRunner-not-so-highspeed Internet WiFi lol

1 ReplyThey servers were DDoS for maybe 30 minutes. Seriously they went down, me and bf went and watched the rest of this episode of the walking dead and by the time it was over the servers were back up and we were back to killing shit. Don't go pissing when you don't have the facts. It wasn't Destiny's fault, it wasn't Bungie's fault, it just happened.

......some research on these here forums last night would have made this thread pointless.....plus the servers were down 15 minutes maybe 30 at the most. That's impressive in and of itself

I'll add to inksause; hang in there. The night of that occurrence was the first time I experienced it. After I figured out what was happening I shrugged it off and went to bed. It was fine the next day.

Hang in there, this is (as far as I know--picked the game up on release day) the first time this has really happened. I've been having a blast with it, I'm sure you'll have fun with it when they fix the issue. Like Deathmaster227 said, they were DDoS'd last night and they may still be recovering on some platforms.

They got DDOSED. They were hacked by a group with the first name of lizard.
