I will keep it short
My hunters not too far along yet but what I have seen so far is hunters are poop in PvE, double jump sucks, and blade dance still wrecks in PvP. havent done gunslinger but i know the deal. triple jump (still worse than glide) and 3 free kills for your Major mobs or a few poor bastards in crucible. and the invis thing sucks, unless youre playing against people with glaucoma.
Played someone elses titan, they seemed decent enough at both. titan strike or whatever is irritating in pvp, kills a ton of shit in pve, and they have the defense bubble thing (in my opinion is just useless and annoying) but still pretty good at both
Warlocks are probably the best class in the game, as both subclasses crush life hard in both pve and pvp.
also vote what you think is best.

PvE invis on bladedancer is the very definition of savior

Hunter life

Edited by SnakePayne86: 8/16/2015 7:19:32 PMThe Hunter can hold its own in pve in my opinion. You just have to know how to use him. I like Warlock though.

I hate their jump but with the boots of eao they have one of the best in the game and it made me like the hunter again other than that they have invisibility in any game the sneaky rogue like invis people allways have the least health and armor bcuz if they had more it would just be way to op and cheat....I personally really like the hunter only reason I stopped was cuz double jump sucked ass but with the boots it's great

You're using Hunter wrong then ._. In PvE I can consistently out damage and outperform other players with my Hunter. You can utilize area/entryway denial and eliminate the first wave of mobs easily and have enough time before some unwitting ad walks into your area denial trap and kills most of his buddies and you clean up the rest. Activate Super. Go ham. Area denial traps set again. Rinse and repeat. Go invisible. Set up strategic snipe/choke points. Or go for revives with multiple invisible abilities. Bladedance if you must for increased damage resistance and kill things on your way to revive teammates or go invis to avoid drawing attention. You can even use melee in the air to quickly gain ground on the enemy and surprise them at their spawn points. Hunters are also the fastest non-jump ability sprinters meaning we can quietly rush past the enemy without alerting them with the jump ability sounds and grab teammates or gain the high ground. So yeah. PvE Hunters are pretty boss. Every class has its strengths and weaknesses. Hunters are not excluded. Max ever class and ability, give it several runs and use every set up you can and then make a judgement call.

Titans are the best in PvE. Hunters are the best in PvP. Warlocks are not specifically the best in either, but still do well in PvP and PvE.
-
I loved my hunter for PvE and loved my Titan for PvP didn't really use my warlock, then bungie deleted my hunter and Titan for some reason and I can't get them back because they don't restore deleted characters, so now I no choice to be use my warlock, still have fun with it like :)
-
They're all balanced (mostly), but Titans could use some more interesting features. That flaming hammer should do it.
-
-blam!- you I'm -blam!-ing awesome

Double jump is good at getting out of dodge quick and avoiding enemy fire. Lift and glide are capable of this with more effort though. Invis is great in pve. It allows you to sneak past and take out annoying majors with ease using a shotgun. I have saved many a run in PoE by going invis getting to the special target and taking it out before stealthing my way around the map to revive my fireteam. I can be a lot riskier and survive on my hunter than I can my warlock.

They all have their place, there are things I hate about each. In PvE hunters make the best medics due to their invisibility and golden gun is great for generating orbs if used properly. I wouldn't say it requires the most skill but hunters are the ones that are least like the others hence hardest to learn when starting as warlock or titan.

I started as a hunter but always felt underpowered compared to the others, so made a warlock Really enjoyed warlock but it is an easy class to use, and although my main for a while did get bored. So moved back to hunter now and loving it, in fact gutted I moved away, but guess it's the change that helps

Edited by Vox Mortuis: 8/18/2015 8:57:20 PMWell, I felt the same way you do once. I mained a warlock right out of the gate. However, when I maxed my warlock I started a titan, loved it more than a warlock. Was too lazy to grind for gear/marks for a hunter. When HoW hit and I could collect armor cores I boosted a hunter to 34...honestly I now have way more fun using a titan or hunter in pve, and much enjoy a hunter in pvp. Warlock for some reason just seems lackluster to me now.

Stfu.

Hunters in PVE- currently yes Hunters in PVP- they're- oh look it seems I sliced your head off before I could finish my sentence. oops
-
On a side not does anyone else use bubbles in trials and drop it to bait supers?
-
None of ur classes are even 34 u scrub. Get good and then talk.
-
Hunters are expert survivors meaning if your not a survivalist this obviously isn't the class for you, we enjoy stealth and agility but we still can be out on the front lines of need be to me, Hunter wrecks every other class
-
Yep. Buff hunters. Buff them. They need more power. I'm thinking of maybe an overshield during supers.
-
Look up crucible Stats for each class. Hunters win at all of them......they are meant for PVP not pve
-
I don't think Hunters suck at all. I personally believe a bad Hunter is only created by that of an unskilled player. I main Hunter and am usually, if not always, able to outlive everyone in my fireteam and do much more than they are able to. And I'm not trying to gloat or anything with this but it is personally what I think and what I experience frequently.
-
Try equipping a Celestial Nighthawk or Kapri's Sting. Those two exotics make the Gunslinger and Blade Dancer a lot more effective in PVE.
-
I know they aren't the best, but I do well with mine and have fun playing him.
-
I agree, right now Hunter sucks, but I have hope for the Nightstalker subclass, hoping to get into it when TTK releases

Who necrobumbed this?
