I sometimes visit this site called Survival Life and follow them on facebook.
Today, they posed an interesting question and I'd like to hear your answer. (Yes YOU!)
It’s been 5 years since the collapse of civilization. Clothes and shoes are in high demand but in extremely short supply. Everything has already been looted long ago. Materials that could have been used as makeshift clothing and food nowhere to be found. In your immediate surroundings, clothes and shoes aren’t available for bartering. Your only hope to clothe your family and protect them from the coming winter would be to either steal from others or to peel the clothes off of corpses, and risk being infected by a disease. What would you do in this situation and why?

Edited by Cloaked Goliath: 10/1/2014 11:34:49 PMI don't mean to be pessimistic, but my family would probably die. I will answer your question as trying to clothe a single person. If I was put into that scenario, I would pillage for clothing. If clothing is in such short supply though, we can pick off the corpses clothing and boil it, bleach it, everything I can to make them clean. If it is too risky, I wouldn't hesitate to steal clothing from other people. The endangering of those I steal from will be a burden, but it wouldn't be the first. I will only take a few pairs of clothing, especially shoes. Because other people must survive as well.
