3 Fallen Walkers Bounty
Anyone know what's the deal with this bounty? I killed one walker in the public event, another by going to him while patroling the cosmodrome and then I did the Earth strike 3 times and still it only says I've killed 2 walkers? Am I missing something?

As someone has already said, need to get the kill shot or be close to the person who does

You either need to have the last shot or be near the person who got the last shot. If you are near someone who is sniping the spider from a distance and he gets the last shot, you get credit. If you are near the tank when he snipes the last shot, you don't get credit. I've had it happen a few times. It's a weird bug with it. It works in patrol or strike.

2 RepliesStrikes don't count. But you don't have to get the kill. If Dinglebot says something like "Let's do this" you are part of the Event and get credit for the kill.

2 RepliesWhen I did it I got lucky with a public even on Venus. Then went to the one thats in the Devils Lair strike in patrol. And it gave me credit for doing the strike as well, could be a glitchy bounty. I tried the win 3 crucible matches last night and didn't get credit for any of the wins lol.

It's not about distance. It just who gets the last shot. Carry a rocket launcher and when that sucker is about to die just start hitting him with the heavy shit. You're bound to be the one with the last hit. It not then try again.

Someone else always got the last shot when I tried doing the missions. So I headed up the patrols and rinse wash and repeat until 3 dead walkers

1 ReplyYou can't do it through the mission for some reason and public events don't always work not sure why. Just go to that area were you fight it in patrol repeatedly

Go to patrol mode. Go back through the area where you kill your first Archon. Continue to push through until you arrive at the area you went through as a level one new Guardian. Continue to push forward. Arrive at the starting point that looks familiar because it's where the Devil's Lair strike starts. Push through to the area where the Devil Walker boss is. Kill lesser Devil Walker. Return to Orbit and repeat from top. Profit.

This bounty doesn't seem like it's worth the trouble. Those things are really hard to kill, even in a team, but you have to get the last hit for it to count for you. And you have to do it 3 times. And the bounty is only worth 50 Queens Favor and 2500 exp. Too much work for too little reward.

Edited by Hemlawk: 10/2/2014 11:53:45 PMGo to earth patrol. Go past the Divide, all the way to the end. Kill the Walker. Go to orbit and repeat because it doesn't respawn(waited 10 minutes). It only takes 2 minutes on a Sparrow to get there(don't kill anything on the way, just blast right past all the mobs) . Doing this only takes about 20 minutes to solo 3 walkers and travel time.

Asking as you are close to it when it does it will be counted as a kill. That's what I've found anyway (especially in strikes)

Probably because you didnt land the last shot on the one in the public event. Annoying, but hey ho...

2 RepliesI believe the confirmed solution is not that you necessarily need to get the final shot, but you must at least be standing close to the person who does. There were a few threads regarding this when the bounty first came out; this was tested and confirmed.

Just run to the spot you fight the walker during the strike from patrol mode. Can be knocked out in a few minutes.
